The aptly titled A Simple Romance was just that. Skip is lost, lonely and afraid. He goes home to see his mother and restart his life where he meets Paul. It really is a simple, lovely story of about a man who has to learn to let go and just enjoy life. The secondary characters are warm and funny. They help Skip to see what's right in front of his face and help him face his fears. This is the type of book you pick up when you just want a comfortable, warm read.
