If there's one thing you can say about the PsyCop series is each book is not the same, there is no formula. At the beginning of this round Vic of course, sees all of his faults in their glory in his own mind, silly boy. But one of the high points of this installment is watching Vic grow a pair. I mean a pretty big hairy pair and that was refreshing. I always worry when characters are taken out of their environment. Sometimes it doesn't work. Overall Vic, Jacob and company did fairly well in California. I can't believe I'm going to say this but I kind of missed Crash and Zig.
GhosTV had some humorous moments and some messy ones also. Since I am reading this series one after the other I can really see the character development and it's very interesting. Traditionally around the fifth or sixth installments most series they start to fall apart. So far this one is still strong. For Vic and Jake it looks like change is on the way, on word and upward boys.
