I'm going to be honest, I can't believe I could not put this book down. My jaw dropped in the middle of the first book and it's stayed open throughout this book too. I kept wanting to know where Marikan was going with these two unusual lovers. I think it worked for me because the authors made a commitment to a theme and they've stuck to it. To me, Copper/Rudy is a puss and not because he's a sub/equine but I really am intrigued by Erik. He is who he is and he is so comfortable in his skin. This time around we were given then a glimpse at some of the secondary characters. It just hit me there was enough story that the sex was balanced and not overwhelming. The Zombies are seen even less than before so they have no influence on the story at all. Okay, I'll say it...I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.
