Outstanding

Okay, so I bought this on the strength of K.J. Charles reputation alone. About twenty pages in I thought to myself, "What have I gotten myself into?" but I persevered and I slowly fell in love with these two outstanding men. One a proper gentleman, the other a man of the people. Both men with strong beliefs that they will fight for somehow they meet on solid ground once a week as equals in every sense. The passion they afford each other is what won me over. The secondary characters are full blown personalities that are so well written I could see them as clearly as the protagonists.
I love when an author lives up to the high expectations they've earned. There are so few writers who can make me enjoy reading anything around the British Age of Revolution and Charles did it with passion.
