Gosh I Wish I was a Good Writer

Years ago I saw a film Something Wicked this Way Comes and it was instantly forgettable but I was always seeing that title as an important book so I have decided to tackle it. Well about 10 pages and I thought okay well written whoop-de-do. Then slowly this veil started to fall down upon me and I started to see really what this author was saying and I was creeped out to the bone. I was chilled, I was worried, I was scared. I was optimistic, I was mortified, and it took me around the bend, up the tree, down the tree and freaked me out completely. Honestly, I did not expect this intense and magnificently written a story. For me, this guy is just a sci-fi writer. I never thought of him as a great writer. I know must rethink that and I'm glad I took the plunge.
