Mystery
I have no idea why I bought this book but, to be honest, 15 years ago when I was all about mysteries of any kind this would have made me so happy. This was a procedural mystery that was intriguing, led by Long Beach Homicide Detective Danny Beckett who was interesting enough. He was sucked into the life and death of a homeless man who was a complete puzzle. Beckett’s partner was really cool. In the shower scene and every scene she rocked and I wanted more of her. I thought there were a lot of bad guys and of course not everyone was who and what they appeared to be. I don’t know if I’ll read more of this series but if the mood strikes I know where to go.
