I when I started this book I was totally overwhelmed by how bad I felt for Jack. I almost stopped reading but I adore Kim Fielding, so I stuck it out and I’m really glad I did. Jack was just sad until he met Tag. It took me a while to connect with Tag but when I did I was crushing to get them happy and safe. There was something wonderfully odd and creepy about this story. I was always waiting for Jack to be taken away - it was wonderfully nerve wracking. Nothing happened the way I thought it would and as always Fielding came through for me. This book was so satisfying I needed a full day to finish processing it before I could read anything else. Whoop, Whoop!
