It Worked For Me

Just Desserts (Tales of the Curious Cookbook) - Mary Calmes

I am so surprised! I've had a funky time with Mary Calmes in the past. She's not on my auto-buy list, far from it. But I heard this was going to be good and guess what?
Boone, a smart art gallery owner meets and falls for Scott a chef but Scott doesn't have a clue. Their friendship is the real thing that grows over three years. There are interesting secondary characters. When events come to a head there's a meaty weight to the story that keeps being interesting. I liked not knowing how Calmes was going to get to the happy ending. Not comparing this to the any of the other books in this series it's not fair.
