Driftwood
I spent a few days thinking of the right adjectives to describe Driftwood. The word ethereal kept coming to mind but that's not right. Painful, nope it sounds to negative. Challenging, I think that might be close but I don't mean to say it was something I wanted to stop reading. Thinking

Okay, here goes...Harper Fox does what she does so well in Driftwood, she took lost characters and opened their souls up for us to see. Her ability to create atmosphere and setting is stellar and there is always bit of realistic humor at the oddest moments. You want to reach in a push the MCs to a safe place you care about them so much. It's a tough tale. Nope this is not about hearts and flowers, it's about allowing yourself to get past your own pain.
Oh and dogs rule!
